Deep Ellum Search Company uses proprietary search methodologies, along with innovative and insightful thinking, to find prior art where others may not have thought to look. A number of services offered by The Patent Box including the Public PAIR monitoring service, as well their File Wrapper Search tool, have been incredibly useful in enhancing our own offerings.
We've found the Public PAIR Monitoring Service offered by The Patent Box to be an excellent and cost-effective solution for tracking prosecution changes in US applications that are of strategic interest to our clients. Prior to using this service, we were monitoring applications manually through Public PAIR. With The Patent Box, monitoring these applications now consumes less time and is more reliable. On a weekly basis, the Patent Box team alerts us via e-mail when our watch list has been synched with PAIR. We're then able to use their "My File Wrappers" dashboard to quickly digest what, if any, prosecution changes have occurred in each case. When necessary, the dashboard also allows us to easily review the details of each file wrapper.
Although The Patent Box does not yet offer a full mirror of Public PAIR, we have also had success in identifying new prior art using a number of our own proprietary search techniques in conjunction with the File Wrapper Search tool.
